Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5 line spacing; uses a 11-point Calibri or Times New Roman fonts; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission:

  • Authors should submit their manuscripts electronically through the online submission system of Advances in Geomatics (AIG).
  • Manuscripts should be prepared according to the journal's formatting guidelines and template, which can be found on the journal's website.
  • All submissions must be original work that has not been published previously or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • The similarity percentage must be less than 30% without a bibliography.

Manuscript Preparation:

  • Manuscripts should be written in clear and concise English.
  • Use the journal's provided template to format your manuscript, including the title page, abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
  • Ensure that your manuscript adheres to the specified word limit and page limit, if any.
  • Use consistent and standard units of measurement throughout the manuscript.

Authorship and Conflict of Interest:

  • All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors.
  • Clearly identify the corresponding author, who will be responsible for communication with the journal throughout the submission and review process.
  • Authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may be perceived as influencing the results, interpretations, or recommendations presented in the manuscript.

Ethical Considerations:

  • Authors must ensure that their research adheres to ethical guidelines and standards. If the research involves human subjects, animals, or sensitive data, authors should provide appropriate ethical clearance or approval.
  • Plagiarism or any form of academic misconduct is strictly prohibited. Authors should cite all sources used and properly attribute the work of others.

Figures, Tables, and Supplementary Material:

  • Figures and tables should be clear, high-quality, and appropriately labeled. They should be placed within the manuscript at the relevant sections.
  • Provide captions for figures and tables, along with any necessary explanations or descriptions.
  • If the manuscript includes supplementary material such as datasets, software code, or additional figures, authors should provide clear instructions on how to access and use the supplementary material.

Review Process:

  • All manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer review process, conducted by experts in the field. The review process aims to provide constructive feedback and ensure the scientific quality and validity of the research.
  • Authors should be prepared to address reviewer comments and make necessary revisions to their manuscript within the specified timeframe.

Copyright:

  • Authors retain the copyright of their published work. However, by submitting their manuscript to AIG, authors grant the journal the right to publish and disseminate the accepted article.
